Rob Ceravolo forged his leadership in the cockpit as a U.S. Navy fighter pilot and TOPGUN instructor—where every decision carried consequences and excuses were not tolerated.
In 2009, he sold nearly everything to launch Tropic Ocean Airways from a Key West garage with a single seaplane. Within six years, it became the world’s largest amphibious airline—a company he went on to lead for sixteen years.
Over 200,000 flights. A flawless safety record. Communities served through hurricanes and crises. Disaster response missions that delivered critical aid when it mattered most.
The real lesson was this: elite performance is built on discipline, honest debriefs, and cultures where accountability is a standard—not a slogan.
